About Event

A half-day event which includes a variety of 50-minute training sessions on different leadership and organizational topics designed to help you lead in your ministry or organizational role.

SESSIONS:
The Challenging Gospel of Mr. Rogers – Dr William Hunter
Mr. Rogers is often remembered as the “nicest man who ever lived,” but when you look at the specific mission field he chose for himself, it becomes clear that he was challenging followers of Christ to live very different lives.
Leveraging Media for the Gospel – Pastor Darrell K. Cook
Have you ever wondered how media can be used to further the Kingdom of God? This course is designed to help you understand the power of using media in your ministry. Whether you are tech savvy or not, this class will teach you how to use media as a tool to touch lives, change hearts, and bring people together.
The Cognitive Side of Conflict Resolution – Pastor Malcolm Beall
This session will examine conflict resolution by beginning with the thought process that leads to the conflict. We will look at how the brain functions when one believes conflict is the only solution. We will then study a biblical basis for dealing with that conflict.
Power Your Interactions with Emotional Intelligence – Erin Siegrist
Have you worked or served with someone who got things done but did it while alienating everyone around them? Don’t be that person! Attend this class and you’ll learn how to enhance your emotional intelligence and get the best out of everyone around you.
Soul Care and the Leader – Pastor Derek Sanford
“What good is it to gain the whole world and lose your own soul?” This probing question, asked by Jesus, is one that every leader should wrestle with. It is so easy to strive and achieve and ‘gain the world,’ while our souls waste away. In this session we will explore some ancient practices that will allow leaders to be more centered, mindful, and spiritually healthy.
Under the Influence: Navigating Leadership with Discernment – Chanel Cook
Good humans often equate titles and positions of authority with leadership, yet a title does not a leader make. God uses ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things.  Join us for a candid conversation about the subtle, yet incredible power of influence and its capacity to inspire the heads, hearts & hands of others to achieve great things in work and life.
