Full of harmonies and humor, Robin & Linda Williams put on a show that is intimate, poignant, and fun, and bring the beautiful tunes and homespun wisdom that made them regulars on Prairie Home Companion for 41 years. Their robust blend of bluegrass, folk, old-time and acoustic country combines wryly observant lyrics with beautiful melodies played on guitar and banjo. As No Depression has noted, Robin and Linda don't play at being country, they are country.
Robin and Linda are closing in on a five decade-long career that has included 24 personal recordings, thousands of concerts on three continents, a Robert Altman directed movie, and hundreds of performances on NPR's "A Prairie Home Companion" and other radio and television shows. They have earned the respect of their musical peers, and their songs have been recorded by such well-known artists as Mary Chapin Carpenter, Tom T. Hall, Tim and Mollie O'Brien, Mary Black, The Seldom Scene, and Emmylou Harris, to name a few.
