The biking club is planning a two-day bike ride on a beautiful portion of the C&O towpath on Friday, September 26 and Saturday September 27.
We will meet at the Edwards Ferry parking lot in Pooleslville, MD (mi. marker 30.8 on the towpath) at 10:00 am on Friday and bike 42 mi. to Sheperdstown, WV (mi. marker 73 on the towpath).
We are planning stay overnight at the Bavarian Inn, near the towpath. Each biker will need to make his/her own lodging reservations there or elsewhere in town. Bikers will need to book accommodations as soon as possible at the Bavarian Inn or the Thomas Sheperd Inn in Shepherdstown.
On Saturday, we will meet for breakfast and then bike back to Edwards Ferry.
Along the route each day, Brunswick and Harpers Ferry offer opportunities to stop, browse, and eat.
