Father Theodore was born and raised in the East End of Glasgow, Scotland, in a non-Christian family. He left school at the age of fifteen to pursue a life in the Royal Navy, in which he specialized in Electronic Warfare before transferring to the Intelligence Branch as a Communications Technician. He discovered Christianity and, subsequently, Orthodoxy during his tours of duty. He was baptized in the Greek Orthodox Church in England, where his ship was based. In 2013, after completing almost a decade of service, he entered Holy Trinity Orthodox Seminary (Jordanville, NY) to pursue theological studies. He was tonsured into the monastic habit in 2019 and subsequently ordained to the diaconate and priesthood. His monastic obediences have included prosphora and bread baking, candle and incense making, and catechizing converts. He is the Deputy Dean of Students and lecturer at Holy Trinity Orthodox Seminary. He is a published author and regularly speaks at parishes and youth groups on various aspects of Christian life.
