We will answer the question, “What does it mean to be filled by the Holy Spirit?” Bill Bright, founder of Campus Crusade for Christ, once said “If I had to choose between sharing the gospel with a lost person or teaching a Christian about the Spirit-filled life, I would always choose the latter, because if a Christian knows the Spirit-filled life, they will witness to many more non-Christians.” We will learn about the difference between the filling of the Spirit and the baptism of the Spirit. There is one baptism, but many fillings. Every Christian is baptized in the Spirit at salvation, and yet every Christian needs to pray daily to be filled by the Spirit. The filling of the Spirit is a command, not a suggestion; it is to be repeated; it is a clarion call for every Christian, not an option for a select few.
