Scripture Readers on Sunday Morning! We are looking for worship leaders to read scripture on Sunday mornings. Anyone is welcome to sign up!
Please consider signing up for a Sunday or two through this link: Sunday Serving Calendar.
Please come up front to share the reading(s). Time it so you will be up the stairs (there are handrails against the walls) at the microphone as the previous worship element concludes. At the close of the final reading, please pause, then say, “May God help us to find truth and guidance in these words.” You’ll find this sentence on a plaque on the pulpit/ambo. Please return to your seat between your parts – or you may stay up in the chancel if you prefer.
If there are creative ways that you would like to try for scripture reading, please run them by Pastor Kevin so he isn't surprised and so he can be supportive -- making scripture come alive is a great thing! Please be sure you read slowly and practice several times before arriving on Sunday. If there are words you aren't sure how to pronounce, a quick google search will help. In addition to making eye contact with the people in the pews, please look to the small camera (with blue light) mounted to the right of the double doors in the back -- that is our livestream feed.
We also ask that you also lead the prayer after the offering. Come up to the microphone as the music starts and people rise to sing the response….simply say something like ~ “Please join us in our Prayer of Dedication.”
