Thank you for your interest in having your child dedicated! The most wonderful experience in life is the birth or adoption of a child. A child is an incredible blessing from God and with that blessing comes a great responsibility for Christian parents to raise their children to know, love and fear the Lord, one day making Jesus their personal Lord and Savior.
It is a tremendous joy and privilege to be able to assist you in the dedication of your child to the Lord. It should be understood that the dedication ceremony is a church tradition and is NOT required biblically, but it is certainly permissible and encouraged. Dedicating your child does not mean that the child is now saved or born again. That is a decision the child must make on their own when they are old enough to decide for themselves. We believe that all children are considered innocent by God and when you dedicate children you are giving them back to the Lord. This is done to recognize that your child is a gift from God and that you intend to raise them in such a way that they will one day choose for themselves to serve the Lord.
Please take a few minutes to complete the following questions which will help us prepare for your special day and begin the Dedication process. Because it is important that parents have a clear Biblical understanding of the significance of Dedication, we require attendance to a one hour parenting class specifically designed to prepare you for the Dedication ceremony. This will be done via a Zoom video connection and will be arranged by the church office with you.
