The Word of God instructs us not to conform to the patterns of the world but to be transformed through the renewal of our minds (Romans 12:1-2). Becoming one with Jesus and being aware of His presence brings joy, security in our identity, and purpose and power in Him.
In this 6-session study of the book, Every Thought Captive, by Kyle Idleman, we will:
Learn to recognize the power of our thoughts
Consider how cultural influences and belief systems shape our thoughts, ultimately leading to our actions
Identify patterns that have become "normal" for us but contradict our identity in Jesus
Learn to break free from negative and unhelpful thoughts
Combine knowledge of the Word of God with insights from neuroscience to help us cooperate with God in transforming our minds.
