About Event
Vacation Bible School is an incredible week of Jesus-filled moments for kids. A group of dedicated volunteers is needed to make this week happen. There are a wide variety of roles that each utilize the unique ways that God creates individuals. Sign up today and we'll help pair you with the best fit!
Unless otherwise noted, volunteers are expected to be available each day of VBS (June 27-July 1, 2022) from 8:30AM-12:30PM. Each role will have a mandatory training session prior to the week of VBS. Training dates will be sent at a later date.
We will base the capacity for VBS kid participants this year on the amount of volunteers that we have signed up.
By registering for this event, you grant Brookfield Lutheran permission to take and utilize photos and videos for use on our website, social media, and printed materials.

Preschool Crew Leader - 8th Grade (as of April 3, 2022) and up!
Build relationships with a group of about 5 kids who you will guide through the VBS experience each day.
Elementary Crew Leader - 8th Grade (as of April 3, 2022) and up!
Build relationships with a group of about 5 kids who you will guide through the VBS experience each day.
Preschool Junior Crew Leader - 5-7th Grade as of April 3, 2022
Assist a Crew Leader in building relationships with a group of about 5 kids.
Elementary Junior Crew Leader - 5-7th Grade as of April 3, 2022
Assist a Crew Leader in building relationships with a group of about 5 kids.
Crew Captain - Must be an adult
NEW THIS YEAR! Mentor and equip Crew Leaders in relationship building, group management, discipline, and be the joyful and loving adult Crew Leaders can depend on.
Kitchen Team
Help prepare Bible-themed snacks.
Game Helper
Help facilitate fun activities in the outdoor fields.
Registration Greeters
Greet kids and parents and help to check them into VBS.
Tech Team
Run audio and video equipment. (We are willing to teach how to use the equipment!)
Child Care
Child care is offered for the kids of volunteers if the kids are not of VBS age. Serve the families of the other volunteers!
Actor
Be a part of openings or closings by playing a speaking part in a skit and/or dancing.
Security/Parking - Must be an adult.
Ensure the safety of everyone during VBS within the building, in the fields, and the parking lot.
Station Leader - Must be an adult.
Plan activities ahead of time (starting now), organize supplies, facilitate the station's activities during VBS week.
Station Assistant
Help a station leader facilitate activities.
Special Needs Assistant
Help a kid with special needs as they experience everything VBS has to offer.
Hospitality
Create a welcoming environment for families as they drop off and pick up their kids by greeting and providing coffee and snacks.
SERVE OUTSIDE OF REGULAR VBS TIME
Advanced Prep Projects
Work on small projects at home ahead of time such as cutting, sorting, and organizing.
Set Building Team
Build scenic backgrounds on June 4 at 9AM (at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church) and set up at Brookfield Lutheran between June 24-26.
Decorating Team
Decorate throughout the building between June 24-26 to help immerse kids in the canyon theme.
Clean Up/Take Down
Help take down decorations, stage sets, and other set ups on Friday, July 1 at 12PM.
