Scripture is loaded with miracles and this is a Biggie. Ever thought…Why did Jesus do miracles? Why are they recorded in both the Old and New Testaments? Jesus never did them to just show off. All the miracles our Savior did were to glorify God, help others, and prove that He was indeed who He said He was—the Son of God. This miracle (the feeding of the 5000) is recorded in all 4 Gospels. It’ in Matthew 14:13-21 It’s in Mark 6:31-44 It’s in Luke 9:12-17 It’s in John. 6:1-14 It’s recorded in each of the gospels for us… Four times... powerful stuff. I've heard pastors say something like - if you see it in the bible twice… pay attention. But, 4 times? So, it's Important and let’s go. This story is about how Jesus can take a little and turn it into a lot! It proves He's God. It shows the love Jesus has for people and challenges us give what we have (although maybe not 'much') and see what only He can do with what we offer Him!
