About Event
We invest in this generation to inhale the personal message of the gospel, exhale the gospel to the world, and make disciples who are send ready.
Join us for the Class of 2024 Senior Commissioning Ceremony on Thursday, May 9th!
This special ceremony will be a time to celebrate what the Lord has done in the lives of our students during their time at Fielder. It will also be a time to commission them for their next mission field, wherever the Lord takes them after graduation.
Our evening will include worship, prayer, a word, and several memorable moments to create a meaningful evening for all involved.
Check-in will begin at 6:45 pm, with an opportunity for photos with a professional photographer. Our program will begin promptly at 7:15.
Due to the large number of active senior students this year, each student can have up to three guests with them. Seating will be assigned.
One of the guests on their list will be a mentor who they feel has greatly impacted their life. This could be a teacher, pastor, small group leader, coach, family member or friend. This individual's name will need to be submitted during registration. We encourage students to contact their mentor to be sure they can attend in advance.
There is no cost to attend the ceremony. Dessert and coffee will be provided at the event. We encourage families to eat dinner together before they arrive.
Each student must bring their graduation gown to use during the ceremony. A cap and cords are not needed.
Please note the following important dates:
- Registration closes on April 24th. Registration is required to participate.
- A high-resolution senior photo must be submitted to cculver@fielder.org by April 24th. This will be used in the slideshow.
- The letter to their mentor is due on April 28th. Please submit to cculver@fielder.org. See letter prompts below.

Prompts / Suggestions for letter to mentor:
- Share how your mentor has made an impact in your life.
- What character traits have they displayed that have had a positive influence on your life?
- What are some ways they have used their time and energy to invest in you?
- How have they pointed you to Christ? Give an example of something specific, or talk about things they consistently shared with you.
- Why do you look up to them?
- Express appreciation and gratitude to your mentor for all they have done.
- What set them apart from others who have been part of your life?
- How are you different because of them?
- How have they impacted your future?
Students must carefully proof these letters as they will be printed on special paper for them to give to their mentor during the ceremony.
