Employment Opportunity Pastor of Discipleship & Outreach

Position:	Pastor of Discipleship & Outreach
Purpose:	To provide dynamic leadership to the Discipleship and Outreach Ministries of the Church
Accountable To:	Congregation, Session, and Central Indiana Presbytery
Reports To:	Senior Pastor

Qualifications

•	Growing and mature Christian
•	Ordained Teaching Elder in the PCA (or pursuing ordination within first year of ministry)
•	Pastoral experience of 0 to 5 years
•	Passion for making disciples of Jesus through the local church
•	Passion for evangelism, personally practicing and equipping others
•	Love for preaching and teaching the Word and equipping others to do it
•	Spiritual gifts of Preaching/Teaching, Evangelism, and Shepherding

Primary Responsibilities:

•	Leadership, Growth, and Execution of our core Discipleship ministries: Adult Sunday School, Small Groups, Women’s ministry, and Men’s ministry
•	Creation, Revitalization and Expansion of our Outreach Ministries (including equipping in evangelism)
•	Preaching (approximately 6-9X annually) & Shepherding
•	Actively participate in Session and Staff meetings
•	Member and Participant of the Staff
•	Member and Participant of the Central Indiana Presbytery
•	Partner with the Senior Pastor and Executive Pastor in Leadership, Shepherding, and Worship
•	Partner with the Session in Officer Training and Ministry Oversight

Commitment & Compensation:

•	Full-time position with a minimum of 40 hours/week
•	4 weeks of paid vacation
•	2 weeks study leave
•	1 week sabbatical per year of service (minimum of 4 years of service before it can be utilized)
•	Mandatory 1 day off/week
•	Salary range of $55,000 - $70,000 based on education and experience
•	Benefits including health care stipend, retirement, life insurance, and disability
