About Event
Since the 5th Sunday falls on Easter this Sunday, we are having a fellowship potluck on Palm Sunday, March 24. What a perfect time to meet together and celebrate our Savior!
We'll also be having a special activity for kids (nursery through 5th grade) after the potluck. "Resurrection Eggs" were first created 30 years ago as an interactive, hands-on way for kids to learn about why we celebrate "Easter" and the events leading up to Jesus' death and resurrection.
How is this different than a typical "Easter egg hunt"? Twelve special numbered eggs will be hidden along with the usual candy/toy-filled ones. Once all the eggs are found, kids will be gathered together to open those numbered eggs one at a time. We get to walk through the events of the Easter story together, through the lens of the items inside the eggs. For example, a communion cup represents the Last Supper, a flower the Garden of Gethsemane, silver coins remind us of Judas' betrayal, and so on.
Parents, you can

Each family will go home with their own (DIY) set that kids will put together after the egg hunt.
