About Event
In place of a "women's retreat" this year, CBC Women's Ministry will be taking a group just "down the road" to participate in Lifeway's In the Word Women's Event with Jen Wilkin, at Brentwood Baptist Church. Here's the description:
"We live in a complex world, and we need wisdom to navigate it. There’s no better place to seek it than in God’s Word. Join Jen Wilkin for In the Word—an event where you’ll delve deeply into the timeless wisdom of Scripture to learn to live God’s way in God’s world.
At In The Word, you’ll be enriched through thought-provoking Bible teaching and worship. Learn tools to study Scripture for yourself as you discover how the pursuit of godly wisdom yields life and peace."
The event runs from 6-9pm Friday evening, and 8-12:30pm on Saturday. Our Women's Ministry team is also planning a group lunch and fun activity for that afternoon, to provide more time to fellowship and build relationships together - more info coming on that.
To receive the $70 discounted group rate, our group registration must be submitted together (by the church) by the end of July, so please don't wait to register!
Anyone is invited and encouraged to join CBC's women's ministry leadership team for this special opportunity. You do not need to be a "leader" - there are multiple sessions available to choose from. As the website says -
"At You Lead events, you will be equipped for wherever God has placed you. Learn from experts on a variety of topics and experience real-life application for ministry and daily life."
The group rate for the You Lead + In the Word conference bundle is $130.
