Every year we attend CIY events because they are awesome. This summer they have put together kits for us to host CIY on our own.
CIY Mix is for students going out of 6th -8th grade and will be a ton of fun. It will take place July 17 starting at 5 PM-July 18th 5 PM.
Friday Schedule: 5 pm- Welcome 5:30 pm- Outdoor Game 1 8:15 pm- Main Session 1 9:30 pm- Actual Campfire 10:30 pm - Bedtime
Saturday Schedule: 8 am- Breakfast/ Small Group Time and Debrief 10 am- Main Session 2 11:30 am - Lunch and Debrief 12:30 pm- Outdoor Game 2 3 pm- Main Session 3 4:30 pm - Small Groups Time 5 pm- Go Home
Precautions we will be taking to keep your students safe (based on CDC and Ohio Health Recommendations for Summer/ Day Camps): 1. Masks will be worn (exceptions will be made for medical conditions, while we are eating, etc). If someone is seen without a mask indoors they will be asked to put it back on. If they are outdoors, they will be allowed to take a break from wearing it when they can ensure that they will maintain a distance of 6 feet or more from any another person. 2. We will maintain social distancing through several measures. a. Students will be a part of a small group of 5 or less students and an adult. b. Main Sessions will be held in the sanctuary so we can spread out. c. The games we will be playing are designed to be played physically distant from one another. 3. We are planning on being outside as much as possible (weather permitting, of course). 4. We will allow students to stay at the church overnigh. We will place sleeping arrangements 6 feet apart and align them head to toe per CDC Guidelines. 5. We will provide a snack on Friday Night, a continental Breakfast, and Lunch on Saturday. We will serve students with masks and gloves. 6. Every student joining us will be temperature scanned on their way in on Friday. If their temperature exceeds 101 degrees they will not be allowed to stay. 7. If any student feels sick or begins to exhibit symptoms while we are there, unfortunately, they will need to be sent home.
