About Event

Are you confused about what it means to be a man, restless about who you’ve been called to be? Our culture recognizes what’s wrong with men, but it rarely offers a better way. Our new series, Hope for Men, starts on Father's Day, June 19th!  As we kick off this series, pastor Michael Luce will explain how you can understand your instincts and manage them to become something better – Come to Amite Church or join us live on Facebook this Sunday at 10am and discover how to discern when to check and when to trust your instincts and become a better man. Join us, our entire culture is at stake!

A recent Barna study asked Christian men to choose between a range of words to describe the current state of masculinity. Consistently, Christian men chose the negative options. To them, masculinity felt:

  • Threatened rather than hopeful (44% vs. 31%)
  • Endangered rather than thriving (39% vs. 28%)
  • Confused rather than vibrant (47% vs. 26%)
  • In crisis rather than stable (40% vs. 30%)

With Father’s Day just around the corner, we think men deserve something better.
Are you confused about what it means to be a man, restless about who you’ve been called to be? Our culture recognizes what’s wrong with men, but it rarely offers a better way. Our new series, Hope for Men, starts on Father's Day, June 19th!  As we kick off this series, pastor Michael Luce will explain how you can understand your instincts and manage them to become something better.  We need men engaged as fathers, husbands, and church members. God wants men to be clear about who he’s calling them to be.

Over the coming weeks, we’re going to look at 5 masculine instincts and how those instincts can lead men to destruction or to greater Christ-likeness. Don’t worry, this series isn’t just for men. We’re in this together and we serve one another best when we’re all willing to understand and help.

It starts on Father’s Day, June 19th at 10am. So come to Amite Church or join us live on Facebook, our entire culture is at stake!

God Bless,

Pastor Michael
